I cannot believe Monday is almost over! We had a lovely weekend that began Thursday with a visit from our friends Nate and Andrea and their two children Georgia and Cooper. They arrived like a tornado of activity which is pretty much how they roll now with two small kids and a dog. I can't imagine how it could be any other way, and when they left I felt as if my job with Aidan was so easy compared to having two small children!

We had a great evening and it was so nice to hang out and feel normal again! Aidan slept like a dream that night so Kevin and I felt rested and ready for a rain-free weekend by Friday night which was also wonderful.
Aidan loves his mobile, thanks so much Andrea & Nate!!!

Unfortunately Aidan did not feel like sleeping on Friday night and we were literally up all night. He slept in one hour increments and by the time we would lay down and fall asleep, he was up again wanting to eat or just wanting to hang out. Fortunately for us, he is not a big cryer, he has such a nice temperament and even at 3 a.m. he is so sweet, he just wants to be held by Mommy or Daddy. Needless to say we were bleary eyed Saturday morning but for the first time in what seemed like ages it was sunny and gorgeous outside so we had to get out of the house and enjoy it! We headed to Burlington to check out the farmers market and to buy a swing for Aidan. We had no idea it was the "Festival of Fools" which is basically a weekend event where tons of street performers hit downtown and all kinds of clowns and circus freaks where everywhere! Kevin loved this guy, a one man band...

Kevin made a delicious mozzarella and basil pizza with the basil and tomatoes from our garden, and we had a nice, relaxing Saturday night watching the Olympics! Don't Kevin's pizza's look amazing?

Sunday it was forecasted to rain all day so we were thrilled to wake up to sunshine! We packed up the diaper bag again, loaded Lily in the car and headed to Stowe to check out their farmer's market and take a long walk on the beautiful rec path.

After a lovely afternoon in Stowe, we came home and napped and were treated to dinner by our friends John and Lindsay who came over and cooked a yummy sausage pasta. Added bonus...they held Aidan while Kevin and I ate! It was such a thoughtful thing for them to do, we appreciate it so much, thanks again you guys!
