So tired...

Hmmm, lets see where should I start. It's 2:30 in the afternoon and Aidan is fast asleep and I realized I haven't eaten yet. I sat down to type this and eat a yogurt simultaneously and just looked down to realize the yogurt I'm halfway finished with is totally moldy. Awesome. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last year, I know I won't die because the last time this happened I phoned my doctor in a panic. She laughed at me, or with me as I'd like to believe, and told me I'll survive. Why I wonder, do I continue to just dive into a yogurt with such trust when I've been burned twice?

Anyway...I'll blame this time on exhaustion because last night was a rough night. Aidan did not want to sleep more than 20 minutes at a time if at all, and I had a meltdown and asked Kevin if we could give him back??? I was not serious of course, but lack of sleep, raging hormone's, unhealed "birth wounds" (as I'll call them) and total body exhaustion makes me a little irrational and thank goodness Kevin is such a huge help! I wish he could grow some boobs to help with the feedings, but short of that he is being amazing, and is such a wonderful father and husband! Thank you for telling me NO, we cannot give him back!

Today it is raining again, shocker. We had a glimpse of sun this morning and Aidan and I went to the grocery store and the post office. I was thrilled to get out, even if it was to run errands, and Aidan is fantastic in the car so it was a pleasant morning. Taking a two week old out is apparently an invitation for every stranger in a mile radius to talk to you. I am not one for chit-chat with strangers, or small talk of any kind, so you can imagine how badly I wanted to jump out of my skin when the very nice grandmother in the post office cornered me to ooh and aah over Aidan and then preceded to tell me, in GREAT DETAIL, about her 4 grandchildren and the 5th on the way. Oh my, I never knew a quick trip to mail some letters could take 45 minutes and have me wishing my baby would start screaming so I could make a quick escape!!!

I love this pic! He is getting some baby acne;)

Tonight our friends and Kevin's best man from the wedding, Nate and his wife Andrea are staying over with their two children Georgia and Cooper. They have been vacationing in Lake George, NY and are making a stop at our house to meet Aidan on their way home to New Jersey. Kevin and I are very excited to have the company! Their daughter Georgia is 2, and their son Cooper is almost 6 months old, so it will be wonderful to bounce questions off Andrea and get some advice!
