10 Days to go...maybe

I had my 38 1/2 week Doctor's check up yesterday and it was very disappointing.
I am STILL 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I have made NO progress at all and I was upset to hear that. I would not have been so upset if my darn Dr. had not gotten my hopes up a few weeks ago. He said to me when I think I was 35 weeks, that he was fairly certain I would go early, probably around 37 weeks. LIAR! Here I am now, almost 39 weeks and no baby. I know it's not an exact science and it's up to the baby and my body, but I really, really wish he had never said boo to me about going early because I got very excited and yesterday's visit was a big let down.

So now I am 10 days away from my due date and there's a very real possibility I will go past the due date. I even had to schedule an appointment for Monday, July 14th just in case. They told me the earliest they would be willing to induce me is July 21st which is 18 long days from now. Keep your fingers crossed everybody, hopefully this baby knows how badly we want to meet him and he'll come on time!
