A Case of the Mondays...

Kevin and I had a really great weekend! Thursday night was very exciting because when we got home we had the entire Season 3 of Weeds waiting for us from Netflix so we cheffed up some food and watched as many episodes as we could stay awake for!

I love that show, it is getting a little silly but Kevin Nealon is absolutely hysterical in his role.

Friday we went to our neighbor's Erik & Guilia's wedding and I wasn't sure what to expect because we only knew about 4 people at the entire wedding and I was nervous about getting dolled up because I look like the side of a house, but we ended up having a really wonderful time! Erik & Giulia were both so radiant and happy and their friends and family could not have been nicer or more welcoming. We met lots of fun people and surprisingly there were 4 other pregnant women at the wedding and 3 or 4 women with babies so I had plenty of people to talk to and commiserate with as we watched everyone else enjoy the open bar! Part of the fun of weddings is enjoying some champagne and getting loose on the dance floor, and I did miss that. It was hysterical to watch people imbibe and enjoy themselves! I danced to a few great songs from the amazing zydeco band but I couldn't rock out like I wanted to, once my ankles started to swell, I had to sit down and watch unfortunately!

Here is the happy couple saying their "I Do's" at the same church where Kevin and I got married almost two years ago...

Checking out the beautiful grounds at Edson Hill Manor

My handsome husband looked stunning!

We clean up nicely!

Giulia made a beautiful bride!

The Zydeco band was great

That Corona and that man look so good!

Resting my tired feet in the study

Kevin kept me company and got really into the historic books about Stowe

The bride and groom tore it up on the dance floor!

We left the wedding a little after 8 p.m. and something very exciting happened as we drove down the long, windy gravel road...we saw a BEAR! Edson Hill Manor is located in a very hilly and remote part of Stowe near the mountain and as we drove past the horse farms and acres of farm land we came upon a wooded area and all of a sudden we saw this huge black figure moving through the woods. At first we thought it was a gigantic dog but on second glance it was a big black bear running. We tried to get a photo but it was too quick, so we tried to drive down this dirt road and look for it but I think it was long gone. We think the sound of fire works in the distance must have spooked it into running. Anyway, it was very cool , and my first bear sighting ever!

Saturday our only agenda was to relax, so we spent the day lounging at the reservoir. It was sunny and hot so the park was packed but it made for good people watching! I floated in the lake for most of the afternoon and it felt amazing!

That afternoon when it cooled off I tried to help Kevin cut the grass, I thought maybe a bumpy ride may shake this baby loose No luck, so I let him take over when I got bored

We finished off a great Vermont day by taking Lily to the creemee stand for a treat! They make a special ice cream cup for dogs and she LOVES it! I should have shot a video because she devoured it in about 5 seconds...She loved it so much, she tried to get a taste of Kevin's milkshake! Naughty Lily
