Don't you love their wedding portrait? They are getting married in the same church where we said our vows almost 2 years ago, and the reception is at Edson Hill Manor, a lovely Inn in Stowe, VT about 25 minutes from our house. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, sunny and in the 70's and I'm looking forward to the day! I love weddings so much, but I am having issues figuring out what to wear. No matter what dress I try on, I look like I'm wearing a tent, so my efforts to look nice are kind of futile. I am going to try to snaz it up though, as much as a woman 9 days away from giving birth can! I'm also going to attempt some dancing, maybe Kevin and I ripping it up on the dance floor will shake this baby out!
Congratulations to my friend and colleague Kristen and her husband Tim on the birth of their baby girl Audrey this past Saturday!

I got to speak to Kristen on Sunday who said "I'm not going to sugar coat it Angela, it hurt like hell." Ha ha, I love the honesty! She told me a few other things I am unable to repeat, but at least I know what to expect now. Surprisingly I am not at all nervous, but I don't get nervous about much in my life and if I do it is usually at the very last second when I realize "this is it!" so that may happen when I am giving birth too, we'll see.
Today I go to the Dr. and will be getting checked to see if my dilation and effacement has progressed so I will post an update later if there's any news!
For now I'll leave you with the 38 week update, enjoy!
How your baby's growing:
Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs about 6.8 pounds and he's over 19 1/2 inches long now. He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If he's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If he's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time he's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after he's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)
