Great Doctor visit today!

Happy Wednesday! Just a heads up, this post contains lots and lots of photos so it may take a few minutes to load if your computer or network are slow!

I had a wonderful Dr.'s visit this morning. I was a little nervous to go because on my last visit I had gained 8 lbs. over three weeks and my Dr. lectured me for "excessive weight gain," which upset me because it's not as if I was eating ice cream all day, I felt like I had been so healthy. I was also nervous because I failed my glucose test last week and I knew I would hear about it today. However, I found out today I have lost 2 pounds in the last 3 weeks which equals a weight gain of 6 lbs in the last 6 weeks or 1 pound/week which is exactly where I need to be! I also foundout that my glucose results, while high, were not off the charts and I was consoled when she told me that she doesn't think I will fail the 3 hour glucose test I have tomorrow. I will have the results by Friday, but I feel more confident going into it knowing the numbers are not too worrisome.

The other good news I got today was that I am measuring at 29 cm and I am currently 28 1/2 weeks pregnant, so Baby Duggan is a little big, but not abnormal or huge which is great! The baby has a strong healthy heartbeat and he has his head down and is in position already! This of course can change, but it was interesting for Kevin and I to find out exactly where his head and spine are and also where his arms and legs are. Although I knew where his legs were already since he has been kicking me like crazy! While I was visiting in Atlanta, both my mom and dad got to feel Baby Duggan kick which was very cool.

So that's the good word from the Dr. today, and I go tomorrow morning for my 3 hour Glucose test which will be unpleasant a best, but I am looking forward to the results regardless of the outcome. It is a beautiful, sunny day here in Vermont and I had Kevin drop me downtown after the Dr. visit so I could walk back to work and enjoy the sunshine. Currently it is... It may reach 80 degrees here today!
