Back from Atlanta!

Kevin and I had an amazing few days in Atlanta! We were sad to leave after such a great time with friends and family. We arrived Thursday afternoon to sunshine and temps in the high 70's. Mom met us at Marta and we hung out at her house for a while with Bob and his daughter Claire who was visiting from Colorado with her two adorable children. We had a lovely time sitting outside enjoying the afternoon sun! That evening we were exhausted but we had to go out for Mexican. It's a ritual that every time we visit Atlanta we go out for Mexican on the first night. Kevin loves Mexican food and Atlanta has tons of great restaurants. Perhaps the only person who loves it more is my Mom, who joined us in Thursday night's fiesta. I was too exhausted from traveling to get any photos...I ate and went to bed!

On Friday, Kevin and I drove to Greenville to visit my friend Mary who just had a baby girl, Leira. We had lunch and hung out for a while with Jeff and Mary and of course took turns holding Leira! She is a gorgeous baby, I am so glad I got to meet her.

I was fascinated watching Mary as a mother, it was beautiful to see.

We returned from our quick visit to Greenville to greet Kevin's parents, Bill & Mary who had driven up from Hilton Head to spend the weekend with us. Mom had plans to go to a dinner dance, so she got gussied up and we sent her on her way... We met my Dad and Archer out for dinner and we sat outside which was such a treat for us after this long winter!Dinner was amazing and it was so much fun to hang out with my Dad. We always have a good time...

Saturday was the big day, my Baby Shower! I didn't know what to expect but I knew my mom had been working very hard on making it a special day and it well exceeded my expectations. I had so much fun and loved every minute of it! Saturday morning Kevin got up early to go and play golf with Bob, Bill and Simon who was driving from Athens and meeting them there. My Mom, Mary Duggan and I hustled around getting last minute things done for the 1:00 p.m. shower. Of course for me, last minute things included shopping for something to wear since the dress I had planned on wearing wasn't working for me anymore. I had bought a cute dress about 2 months ago when I had a relatively small baby bump and when I tried it on Saturday morning with my huge baby bump...well, lets just say it didn't look cute anymore! Luckily my mom lives about 2 minutes away from a Mimi Maternity store so I was in luck!

Thank you to my Mom for throwing such a wonderful shower, the food and festivities were amazing.

Thanks as well to Marcy for helping my mom stay sane, the beautiful decorations and the amazing cake!

**I am having technical difficulties uploading photos right now, so I'll leave you with this posting and I'll post a photo slide show of the shower and the rest of our wonderful weekend as soon as I can. Enjoy!**
