6 Months ago today...

6 Months ago today I pushed until I thought my eyes were going to pop out and my brains would explode out of my head and suddenly there he was. I can't believe that only 6 months have gone by and so much has changed in our lives. Today Aidan is a big, bouncy baby with a smile that melts my heart and big blue eyes always on the lookout for mischief. He is so curious and happy and growing much too fast! Today is Aidan's 6 month birthday and here are a few pics of our beautiful baby boy.

Last night we had a family meal together, the first of many. Aidan dined on peas, yummmm.

Today was Aidan's 6 month check up at the pediatrician. Our boy is now 27 inches long which puts him in the 75% for height and he weighs 18.8 lbs which puts him between 50-75% for weight. I was surprised he was not heavier, he feels so heavy to me!

The Doctors visit went very well, she said Aidan is a "perfect" baby. Really she did. I'm sure she tells everyone that but I don't care, I'm letting it go to my head;) Seriously though, she said Aidan is hitting all his developmental markers and he seems to be in wonderful health and very happy. She also gave him the go ahead to start eating real food and soft, finger foods now. Aidan will be very excited, so far he has tried apples, prunes, sweet potatoes and peas and he's loved them all and eaten every morsel. We're trying carrots next and I have a feeling he'll devour them! Aidan also had his next round of immunizations which was traumatic to watch because he really screamed and cried this time. Poor little guy! He must have wore himself out because afterwards he slept for 3 hours.
