Week one went well!

Wow, I cannot believe Aidan is now 8 days old. Considering we waited 10 months to meet the little guy, this week flew by faster than I could have ever imagined. Each day went faster than the next in a whirl of feedings, diaper changes and sneaking in sleep where I could! It was wonderful though and Aidan is doing so great. My mom left today and it was sad to see her go. I know when she sees Aidan next, probably in September, he will be bigger and will have changed so much. She was so helpful and I really appreciated having her here. Tomorrow will be my first day with Aidan by myself and I'm a little bit nervous, but I think I have things under control so far!

Here he is laying on the beautiful Bear from my friend MarcyIsn't that adorable? Oh my goodness I just melt...

We had Aidan's 2nd Dr.'s visit in Burlington today and according to our pediatrician he is doing wonderfully. He has gained another ounce, his black eye from coming down the birth canal is healing nicely (there is a little blood in his eye but it getting better everyday) and his cord stump fell off at the Dr.'s visit! Yay, he can have a real bath now. We are excited to give him his first real bath. We did a sponge bath two nights ago after he pee'd all over himself (he likes to do that every time the diaper comes off!) and he did not like it at all. I have a feeling he will hate the real bath even more;)

After the Dr.'s visit I actually snuck in an eyebrow wax (hey personal grooming does not have to take a backseat here!!!) and finally my out of control eye brows have been tamed and Aidan was an angel, he slept in his car seat by my side the whole time. The esthetician even gave me some yummy smelling soothing bath gel for Aidan. Afterwards, I stopped in for a quick visit with my girlfriend Kristen who has a daughter two weeks older than Aidan and then a quick hello to Daddy who was at the park with Lily and then I headed home to rest. I was nervous driving Aidan by myself for the first time but he made it so easy by sleeping the entire time. He LOVES the car which is wonderful for us!

Here's a few photos of our first week. I swear he gets cuter everyday!
