Back to work...

Kevin and I had a lovely Memorial Day Weekend. We worked in the yard and got everything finished that we wanted to do pre-baby, so now all we have to do is maintenance. The veggies are growing! We already have three tomatoes on the vines, and the romaine lettuce looks bigger everyday.

Every flower bed is weeded and mulched and ready to bloom!

Unfortunately for Kevin, his "tractor" a.k.a ride on lawn mower broke halfway through mowing the yard and he had to finish the job with the push mower.Needless to say, Kevin was not psyched, and the push mower was a workout! After a morning of hard work, we took advantage of a beautiful sunny afternoon and spent some down time relaxing at the Waterbury Reservoir.Kevin enjoyed a few beers and I sunned myself like a beached whale...
This bathing suit top is struggling to cover the massive baby bump. Thanks for the close up Kevin!
Kevin, however is looking good as he goes for a dip. The water is still too chilly for me, I usually won't go in until late June or July. The snow melt keeps the lakes and rivers here pretty chilly until mid-summer.

We spent most of the weekend outdoors and we kept noticing strangers walking along our property. We have some amazing fishing spots along our banksHowever, they are our spots, and we like our privacy. After watching an endless parade of "poachers" Kevin got tired of asking people to leave so we put up a few signs
You'd think that would do the trick, but we still had some rude people ignore the signs and hit up our spots. So that's when we'd send Lily in for a little "meet and greet." Although she is harmless and would never hurt anyone, she has a serious bark that sends people fleeing!
Ha ha, Kevin had to finish mowing with the push mower. Hopefully he can get the "tractor" blade fixed this week.

Kevin took this photo of me yesterday and I look gigantic. I hope this baby comes soon! I have been having some strange pains, but I think that is just the baby moving down into position.

Yesterday afternoon we got a few rain showers so we caught the new Indiana Jones movieI'm not a huge fan of these types of movies, but it was entertaining and the handbag full of candy I smuggled in kept me occupied and the baby kicking throughout the entire film! I'm glad we saw it, but I'm way more excited for the new Sex and the City film this Friday!

Last night we ate at the new Thai restaurant that just opened in our town. It was delicious! Kevin and I got this Tom Yum soup to start and it was mind blowing. I think we may have a new favorite restaurant!

I hope everyone had a great three-day weekend. We have a busy rest of the week with our childbirth class and tour of the hospital tomorrow and our Infant CPR class this Thursday. Happy Tuesday!
