It's 60 and Sunny!

Wow, a few weeks ago when we were digging out from yet another snowstorm, the thought of 60 degrees and sunshine seemed like a dream. Well it's here and it's happening today and I really have to be honest and say that I am having a hard time concentrating at work today because I want to play outside!!! It doesn't help that I work in an area we call the "bee hive." It got its name partially because there are 6 women who sit here so we're always buzzing about something, but also because we get no daylight due to having no windows, and it really is like a dark hive.We are located in the middle of the building, so on the other side of those "windows" you can see above, are lots of desks and more people. I love the hive, but I've got to get outside at lunch today, I need to see the light!

Yesterday Kevin and I met for lunch and took Lily on a long walk on the bike path that runs next to Lake Champlain. It was a little breezy being next to the lake, but it was beautiful and a great workout. He's busy today, but I'm going to go and get my exercise in while I can still walk;)

Since we worked out at lunch yesterday, we went straight home after work and had time to hang out and relax which was so nice. Kevin made a delicious pasta sauce with lean turkey instead of ground beef and he added some eggplant and onions he sauteed. It was a yummy meal and he wouldn't let me do a thing which made it even yummier! I sat and read aloud to him from one of our pregnancy books while he cookedThanks Kevin for taking this very unflattering shot of me being super lazy! Note the cord which goes to the heating pad I had on my back, sweet relief!

Yesterday I predicted all the snow in our yard will be gone by Friday and I think I will be right! It may even be gone by tomorrow if this sunshine keeps up. Yesterday when we left for work the yard was covered in snow and this morning when we left it looked like thisI can see grass!!!! I will be so happy if we get home tonight and it is all gone.

Baby Duggan is doing well and Kevin and I think he is lying on the right side of my belly because when I wake up in the morning, the right side is noticeably fuller than the left. It is strange, but you can see where he is hanging out. He definitely has his sleep and awake times down and he's on a schedule now. He loves to be active when I go to bed which is fine with me because we get to feel him kick and move and watch my stomach ripple.

I woke up this morning and we noticed something new and not especially attractive... I have a linea negra now.
The linea negra is a dark line that forms down the middle of some women's bellies as their pregnancy progresses. The line is normally about a centimeter in width, and can run from the pubic bone to the bottom of the rib cage in some women. Mine runs from the bottom of my rib cage to my belly button right now, but who knows it may progress or get darker. I have heard it disappears when the baby is born so, lets just hope it goes away! Hey, it's better than getting stretch marks so I'm not complaining!

Ok, I'm going outside to enjoy some sun! A 26 week baby update will be coming tomorrow.
