Wow, what a great weekend! There is so much to share, but first...the Giants are going to the Superbowl! Not only am I excited as I'm a Giants Fan by marriage, but...
I'M GETTING A NEW TV!!!!!! WHOO HOO!
You may recall that a few weeks ago Kevin promised a new flat screen TV if the Giants made it to the Super Bowl. Well, well my sweet husband, break out the greenbacks because we're going shopping!

Everyone is invited to a Superbowl party at the Duggan's house! Hopefully the frost bite on Tom Coughlin's face will have cleared up by then. Watching that man's cheeks progress from red to a deep purple last night was pure entertainment. Hopefully he'll be too happy today to notice the pain when his face finally thaws!

This weekend we had the pleasure of spending time with my lovely sister in law Mel and her friends Tracey,Lele,Stacy,Beth,Michelle and Kim. What a great group of women! I had such a wonderful time meeting everyone. After they all went skiing on Saturday, I joined everyone for dinner at the Stowe Inn. Thanks for a great evening, I have not laughed that hard in a long time! I'll have to get a copy from Tracey of the photo of us all piled in the giant sleigh outside the inn. Thankfully it didn't collapse, as I'm not sure it was ever really meant to be sat in, but that didn't stop us.
Yesterday Mel and Kevin went for a snow shoe while I stayed warm and cooked chili. No way I was going out in 7 degree temps voluntarily!

Have crock pot will travel...we spent the afternoon eating and watching football in Stowe and the evening could not have ended better with the Giants victory! Thanks so much for having us over ladies, we had a ball.

In other exciting news, Kevin and Mel's sister Monica, and her beautiful family just got a new puppy who they named Marley! He is so cute and the Webster family is so excited to welcome their newest member. Here's a photo of the little cutie...

Please send more photos soon Monica, he is adorable! Kevin and I will have to come visit CT soon and meet Marley.
Well today is Martin Luther King Day and while Kevin is enjoying the day off, I'm back at work and having a case of the Mondays! However, I do like to take a moment on this holiday to re-read the speech entitled "I Have a Dream," delivered by Dr. Martin Luther King on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on August 23, 1963. Here is a little excerpt from that speech to get your Monday started right...
I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal.
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character...
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama ... will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today.

Wow, reading that gets me every time! Well I hope everyone enjoys their day today whether you're at work or enjoying the day off and skiing Stowe as my lovely husband is doing right now. I'm not jealous or anything...
I'm officially into my 15th week of the pregnancy and I'll have a full update on how everything is going for you tomorrow. For today, I'll leave you with this beautiful masterpiece my mother baked this weekend. Please fed ex me a slice mom, it looks yummy! For future reference, please don't send photos of delicious food to a pregnant woman unless you include actual food;)
