Grand Eddie flew into New Hampshire yesterday morning for work and upon finding out he had a meeting in Vermont he called me to find out if I would be home. I knew something was up when I told him my plans that day included a visit to the Pediatrician and he asked what time I would be leaving the house. Hmmm? My suspicions were confirmed when he said he was coming over and it was so great to see him and watch him hold his sweet baby grandson. Aidan was awake and happy to meet his grandpa!
What a great surprise, thank you Daddy!
Unfortunately he could not stay the night but it was a lovely visit and I’m excited to go to Atlanta this Saturday so Aidan can spend more time with his grandparents.Yesterday was also Aidan’s 2 month Pediatrician appointment and he received his first round of immunizations.
The poor baby had three shots and his chunky little thighs are now adorned with colorful baby band aids. He cried, but Aidan was a trooper and I think the shots hurt Mom and Dad more than him! The visit went well otherwise and our Doctor thinks Aidan is doing wonderfully. Aidan has gained only a pound since our last visit and is now 12 1/2 lbs. I would have thought he had gained more weight but the Doctor did not seem to be concerned as long as he gained something.
The real surprise was that Aidan has grown 3 inches!!! He is now just over 24” and it looks like he may have his dad’s long and lean frame!

Today I go to the Doctor to have SIX moles removed! My days of baking in the sun sans sunscreen as a teenager have finally caught up with me. It’s nothing serious, more of a preventative step to get rid of the suspicious looking moles early, but a serious wake up call and a lesson to always wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun. No more golden brown tans are to be had in my future, but on the upside the lack of sun will mean less wrinkles. Always looking for the positive...
After my appointment, Aidan and I are going to start packing for our vacation to Atlanta and Hilton Head, I can’t wait! Aidan is having an exciting week and will be flying for the first time this Saturday.
