Quick baby update...

I had my 37th week Dr.'s appointment yesterday and there is no exciting news unfortunately. They did not check me again for dilation, that's going to happen next week. I did have a fetal non-stress test to measure Baby Duggan's heart rate as he responds to his own movements. The Dr. thought it was a good idea since he has been moving considerably less than he used to, but the test revealed that he is healthy and has a great heart rate so his decreased movement is only due to his lack of room! He is at capacity as I suspected by the size of my enormous belly.Hey look, I may have lots of freckles, but NO stretch marks! Pretty amazing considering I'm carrying around 35+ extra pounds. I probably could have kept it to a respectable 30 or less, but I discovered the joys of trying a new ice cream each week and it spiraled out of control. Even Kevin is now addicted to Chubby Hubby from Ben & Jerry's!It is perfect...salty and sweet!



I talked to my Dr. yesterday about the possibility that I may go past my due date and how far past they'll let me go. I am due Sunday July 13, and if I still have not had the baby they'll see me on Wednesday the 16th but will not induce me until Monday July 21st as long as the baby is doing well. A full week after my due date. They would be willing to let me go until Saturday July 26 if I choose to, but judging by how hard Kevin and I laughed when the Dr. said that...we'll go with the 21st! Hopefully I will have the baby on or before the 13th and we won't have to worry about it, but I am starting to think this baby may never come out, so I'm preparing myself mentally!
