Wednesday already?!

This week is flying by, and I couldn't be happier. I was so excited that it would be 65 and sunny today that I wore my first spring top. Ya, short sleeves! I would take a photo of myself but I look like a cow, so instead, here's my top...Cute right? I am excited to wear short sleeves again and start breaking out the spring clothes! I spray tanned my arms today too. Ha ha...I know I sound crazy but I think it's exciting stuff! I am so pale white that I'm glowing so I busted out the "Lancome Airbrush Tan" and went to town. Luckily my skin likes this stuff and I don't turn orange, just a light golden brown. Ok maybe not golden brown but you get the idea.

Kevin and I woke up early today and I was actually early to work which never happens! I guess I was just eager to get outside since it was 52 degrees on the way to work! Although Kevin did burst my bubble by telling me it is supposed to snow Saturday night and/or Sunday. Boo. I really hope it is just rain, because I plan to pack away my winter coat this weekend regardless!

Doesn't Kevin look tough here as we head to work?I think so! We are meeting for lunch today to take Lily on a long walk to a local park and maybe if it's super warm we may let her go swimming! Lily doesn't mind freezing cold water, in fact she would swim in January if we let her. She just loves to swim more than anything so once summer actually arrives, we take her swimming almost everyday. This morning I told her she may get to go swimming today and she got so excited she was ready to go! Here she is waiting to run to the front door while we were finishing getting ready.

Melt Watch Alert!!!
Check out the progress on the rapidly melting back yard. Even though we have to go through mud season next, it will be so wonderful when all this white stuff is officially gone! We're making progress from yesterday for sure:
Notice how high the river is! All the snow melt makes the river rise quickly and we are hoping it doesn't flood our yard this year. We've been lucky the last few years but the first year we lived in the house our whole yard flooded and when it finally receded the dirt and sand that was left was so disgusting! Keep your fingers crossed.

Well I am officially halfway through my 26th week of pregnancy and feeling great. Here's this weeks update, enjoy!

How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel. The nerve pathways in his ears are developing, which means his response to sounds is growing more consistent. His lungs are developing now, too, as he continues to take small breaths of amniotic fluid — good practice for when he's born and takes that first breath of air. His weight will more than triple between now and birth as he rapidly puts on baby fat. He'll need that fat to help adjust to colder temperatures outside the womb and as a source of energy and calories in the first days of life. It's not uncommon for newborns, especially those who are breastfed, to lose weight (sometimes as much as 10 percent of their birth weight) in the first week after birth. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
