Kevin and I started a tradition last year of chopping down our own Christmas tree and I think it is something we will always do. There is just something fun about kicking off the holiday season hunting for that perfect tree. Murray Hill Farm is about 3 miles from our house and they have a 90 acre spread that includes 30 acres devoted to trees. They provide you with the saw, a sled and free hot chocolate and you just have to walk the property until you find the tree you want and chop it down. Last year I was very pregnant and it was snowy and cold and I remember walking around for 2 hours because we couldn't decide on the "one." This year it was less snowy but just as cold and we bundled up Aidan and I strapped him in the baby carrier and we vowed to make a much faster decision this time. It wasn't easy, but we managed to find our tree in under an hour and I think we've got a beauty! Here are a few photos of our fun afternoon.
We are excited about this blog and its purpose...to keep you updated on all the excitement and exhaustion that comes with raising a toddler and an 11 year old dog. Every day is a new adventure! Love, Kevin and Angela
