The Sleeper!

We had a great weekend! Now that I am back at work, Saturdays and Sundays are so precious. Kevin and I had such a lovely time hanging out with Aidan, it's almost sad when he naps because we want to play with him. We transitioned him out of his car seat last week and I'm happy to report he now sleeps in his crib in his room. We have our room back, yay! Aidan is sleeping so well, he went to bed at 8:15 p.m. Friday night and woke up at 7:30 Saturday morning. Kevin and I were amazed and thought it was a fluke but he did it again Saturday and Sunday night. Our baby LOVES to sleep! We have a video monitor which has been wonderful so if we wake up in the middle of the night which we've been doing frequently, we can just click it to see him sleeping peacefully. Of course we also go in and check on him, but it is less frequent as we become more comfortable. When he woke up Saturday morning he was so happy and playful. Kevin played the drum and tambourine for him and he loved it!




Aidan tried out his bumbo seat. He is still a little wobbly and doesn't quite have the neck control yet to sit upright in it, but he was very interested in the toys!

Aidan started something new this weekend. Not only has he started sleeping on his side, but he started SUCKING HIS THUMB! Oh boy. I am not sure if I should break the habit or if I even could. Kevin and I were both thumb suckers and Kevin has great teeth but I've always wondered if my overbite could have been prevented if I hadn't been such a big thumb sucker. I'll ask our doctor at our next visit, but he is so cute when he does it, check it out.


Yesterday may have been our last semi-warm, sunny day of the year! Kevin and I took Aidan and Lily for a walk and we tried our new baby carrier that I found at TJ Maxx for $16. Damn I love a bargain! It worked great and Aidan loved being face out and seeing the world.
