Happy Monday!

Kevin and I had a super mellow weekend! So mellow, we may have broken records by how early we went to bed each night. I am feeling good but I get so tired these days and it's easy for me to fall asleep at 7: 30 and sleep the entire night. Saturday, Kevin went to the mountain while I spent 3 hours at the Swimming Hole in Stowe, which is a wonderful gym with amazing facilities including a huge pool.
In their workout room, each piece of equipment has a flat screen TV so you can watch whatever you want while you work out. I ended up doing an hour and a half workout on the elliptical machine because I got sucked into a "What Not to Wear" marathon on TLC, I love that show! Afterwards, I swam leisurely for an hour and enjoyed the weightlessness. We followed our workouts with a delicious cheeseburger at Gracie's in Stowe. We sat by the roaring fire and chowed down. Gracie's has some of the best burgers in VT! Their burgers are 100% natural Vermont grown beef from Boyden Farm in Cambridge Vermont and they are served on their homemade honey oat rolls. They are insanely good! They also have the best desserts. I never normally order dessert but since I've been pregnant I've been living it up, so Kevin and I ordered their "Frisbee" which is creamy vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two of their homemade toffee and chocolate chip cookies served with a side of warm fudge sauce. So much for that workout! I spilled fudge all over my sweater but I didn’t even care because it was such an amazing dessert, I may venture to say the best thing I have eaten so far during this pregnancy. If you are ever in Stowe, you must stop by Gracie’s for lunch!

Yesterday we had another snowstorm and received about 6 more inches of snow. We also had high winds and snow was blown around making it look like we were having a blizzard. Today the snowdrifts are up to Kevin's mid-section which makes it hard for him to take Lily out! Kevin had to have a neighbor help him push the car out of the snow bank this morning and we were lucky because we got it out, some people had to be towed out of the deep snow.
I am SO sick of the snow! I think the pregnancy hormones must be kicking in full swing because yesterday a commercial for Florida came on the TV showing sunny, beautiful beaches and I broke down crying. Kevin was flabbergasted and didn't know what to do as I sobbed. I am ready for some warmer weather soon!!! It looks like I may be out of luck for the time being as we have another winter storm coming tomorrow night that promises at least another 6+ inches of snow. I think Lily may also be tired of the snow and ready to see grass again!
