Giants 17 Patriots 14, Yeah Giants!!!

Wow, what a game! Congrats to the NY Giants, Super Bowl 42 Champs! Kevin and I were on edge the entire game but that last minute was so intense I could barely watch!!

Kevin wore my Shockey jersey for good luck but I think it may be time to get a new jersey...perhaps #10!! Here's Kevin giving Bill Belichick (a bad loser) the finger!


Well last night's game capped of a great weekend. Kevin's friend Joe was visiting and Friday night I made some yummy snacks for the boys. Thanks to my mom for this delicious appetizer recipe:

Sweet Bacon Chicken Wraps
1 1/4 lb of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 package of sliced bacon (I used the thick sliced hickory smoked and it was perfect!)
2/3-cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder

Stir together the brown sugar and chili powder in a bowl. Cut chicken into small 2 inch pieces and cut the bacon strip in half. Dredge the chicken in the sugar/chili powder mixture and wrap with bacon. Place on a non-stick pan and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. I put the chicken under the broiler when they were finished cooking to crisp the bacon. These little tasty treats were delicious!


Kevin and I decided you can pretty much wrap anything in bacon and it will be delicious, but these were especially yummy on Friday!

Saturday the boys were supposed to go to Jay Peak, but unfortunately the ice storm we had Friday night put a wrench in those plans. Jay Peak's website was reporting high winds and lots of ice so the conditions would have been terrible. Not worth the 1+ ride up north so Kevin and Joe decided to drink beers instead and have a fire outside! I went and had my pre-natal massage and it was lovely!

Saturday night I cooked a new recipe from my friend and co-worker Heather. She loves good food and writes about it on her blog. The sausage pasta I made was insanely good and you should definitely click to check out her blog and recipe here.

Yesterday before the game Kevin hit the mountain and I went to the gym to work out and go swimming. This morning we had a Dr. visit and we heard the baby's heartbeat again. We also heard the baby moving around and kicking like crazy. I have one very active baby inside me! Only two more weeks until we find out the sex!

Well I have a case of the Monday’s today; only 4 days until the weekend again, have a great day!
