Just a whiff and I am choking back the contents of my stomach.
Brussels Sprouts, which I also used to devour, have now been banned from my kitchen. As I discovered last night while Kevin cooked, the odor is just too similar to that of broccoli. Luckily Lily will eat anything and yesterday she had a hearty helping of the greens.

Lily, whose nickname is Peanut, is also excited that I can't get enough peanut butter. While I've always liked the stuff, lately I want to eat it 24/7, by itself or together with cereal, that's normal right? Kevin was nice enough to make me a PB&J for breakfast this morning and even though she was upstairs, Lily could smell the jar opening...you have never seen a 105 lb, 10 year old dog with hip dysplasia and arthritis run so fast in your life.
My other obsession besides peanut butter is CITRUS! I want citrus all the time, and I may actually hold a new world record for the amount of clementines eaten in one sitting...

Overall I have to say that being pregnant has been a really interesting experience so far. I'm constantly amazed by my body each day. Take for example, my new super sonic sense of smell. I could freelance as a drug dog with this nose.
Kevin also swears I am narcoleptic now. We can be in mid-conversation but if he pauses for a breathe...it's lights out for me. Falling asleep is not a problem for me, however staying asleep is a different story. Besides my 3 or 4 nightly trips to the bathroom, I awake almost every night from the rumbles of a hungry belly. So far I've been able to ignore it and go back to sleep but it won't be long before I'm waist deep in the fridge at 4 a.m. looking for something yummy.
Mad props to Kevin for being a great sport and a wonderfully supportive husband!
